How it all started
In 2015, our founder Tricia was working at Booking.com
and constantly travelling around the world.
After staying in hundreds of short-term rentals,
she recognized an opportunity to elevate the
property and guest management experience
– and the idea for Luminous was officially born.
Our roots in cleaning
Cleaning is at the heart of Luminous.
In 2017, we started as a cleaning company
specializing in rental and vacation
properties. It was during this time that Tricia
realized just how important these types of
services were for rental properties and their
owners.

Female-founded and run by Tricia and
co-founder, Christina, Luminous has set its
sight on disrupting the modern travel
industry. Built on their philosophy of
providing guests with unique spaces in
unique places, Luminous is now working
with different people – from designers to
property owners, travellers to locals – with
the goal of bringing Luminous to more
destinations.
Today, we’re on our way to revolutionizing the travel
industry by offering memorable and consistent stays,
without all the hassle of some other sites.
